Blogger and writer Hla Oo was at that Hla Thaung School from year 5 to year 10 till he was kicked out of that military-boarding-school for Jingalee-attack on the Boarders-Master RSM WO-2 Myint Swe (Inn-ma)in 1971. He wrote a thick book based on his 6 years life there and later his two years as a Private first and then a Lance-corporal in Burmese Army in Kachin Land. I left my school 50 years ago. soon, we left, it was nationalized and become government school. 2-years ago, I revisited my school. all the class rooms where we studied were shut down due to the Nargis storm; ??? buildrens were not safe for classes.... and the church was not only closed but also confined by walls.....it is real sed to witness it... how about if it would return to old cushion or united christan school again. the church is reopened, X'mas and funfair are also held as in old goldren days. I like to let you know I am not christian, pure buddhist but I love my school and I am yearning our school days...
